What It Means to Root Before You Rise

There’s a lot of pressure in our world to rise fast. Hustle, produce, perform. But true, sustainable growth doesn’t begin in the spotlight. It begins in the soil.

To root before you rise means taking the time to build inward strength—tending to your healing, your values, and your truth. It means honoring what you’re releasing just as much as what you’re calling in.

In my own journey, I’ve learned that rooting is rarely glamorous. It looks like quiet moments of journaling, uncomfortable decisions to walk away from what no longer fits, and learning to sit with the uncertainty of the in-between. It’s saying, I don’t know what’s coming yet, but I trust myself to make space for it.

When we root before we rise, we don’t just grow taller—we grow stronger. We rise with intention, with clarity, and with a heart that’s been softened and strengthened by the work we’ve done below the surface.

So if you’re in a season where things feel still, slow, or messy—you’re not behind. You’re rooting. And that’s where your next chapter begins. 🌱

Looking to gently reconnect with yourself during a season of transition?
